Our History !

In January
2003, a group of people and friends met in Casper to discuss the idea of a
tractor club.  In February they met again and Central Wyoming Antique Power
Club was born. It started with 22 charter members and has not looked back
since….. 

The club has evolved into a non-profit 501 (C) 3
corporation as a museum and training center.

We began by
showing tractors and participating in parades. We had many members interested in
tractor pulls, so a sled was built by a couple of dedicated members who put in
both time and money. In 2007 we hosted seven tractor pulls. We
have built a pedal tractor sled and  are building and refining a garden
tractor sled. 

Other events have
included a tractor drive, plow days, and an event we call fun days. This event
includes a tractor show, a tractor pull, and a garden tractor pull. We hope to
expand this event to two days and add some tractor games and events for
children, making this a family get-together. 

There is a funded
project under way to open a tractor museum.  It has been incorporated as a
non-profit, and is called the Central Wyoming Antique Power  Museum and
Training Center.  The club has IRS 501-C-3 tax status as a non-profit.

Membership at the close of 2007 was over 80 full memberships,
and many more junior memberships as well as those who come to the pulls and register through the club for the
insurance policy.

Full memberships receive a mailed copy of the
monthly newsletter, voting privileges in club meetings, and liability insurance coverage
for all club sponsored activities.  Spouses are included as members
for insurance coverage.

Annual membership is $35.
Seven dollars ($7.00) per person in the household goes to
annual insurance coverage, and approximately another $7 goes to the costs of
printing and mailing the
monthly newsletter.
